    This photograph was taken in the gardens of the Casa Grande in the early 1990's. The man on the left if the Mine Superintendent, Dick Harry, and the man on the right is Ellard Carson, son of George Carson. Ellard was later to become a well known mining engineer in Columbia.

    This photograph (circa 1890's) is of James Carson, the son of George Carson. James was also the brother of Ellard Carson. He was born and raised at New Almaden and lived in the Carson House. This picture was taken on the front porch of the Carson House. The Carson House was purchased in 1926 by Mr. James Healy and later bought by his daughter Constance. The Carson house once housed the New Almaden Museum and one of the oldest houses in New Almad...
