Description |
OBJECT: Irene Hauck's scrapbook is a collection of her hand-written reference notes, newspaper clippings and internet records from sources published between the early 1960s through the late 1990s. Most items are about the history of Almaden Quicksilver, the community of New Almaden, citizens, individual local historians, and historical preservation. DESCRIPTION: 12.5" x 14" x 1.75" Ivory Binder with gold decorative embossing. The front of the binder has a white label with "NEW ALMADEN #3" (hand-printed in black ink). Contents are loosely inserted between individual pages and/or enclosed in batches within envelopes. Each envelope has a hand-written list of contents, most organized by decade, with some exceptions. Some articles are missing sections. No mention is made of an envelope #1.
