front: Arrest Warrant: "State of California, By the Justice's Court, Almaden Township, in and for the county of Santa Clara. The people of the State of California. To any Sheriff, Constable, Marshall, or policeman in this state, or in the County of Santa Clara, A complaint, upon oath, having been this day laid before me by Richard Jacka that the crime of misdemeanor by disturbing the peace on June 11, 1873 has been committed and accusing Joachin Estrada thereof, you are hereby commanded forthwith to arrest the above named Joachin Estrada and bring him before me forthwith at my court in the township of Almaden. Dated my office this 11th day of June, 1873. Ralph Lowe. Justice of the Peace of said county." Reverse:"I hereby certify that I received the within warrant on the 11th day of June, A. D. 1873, and served the said warrant by arresting the within named defendants, Joachin Estrada, and bring him into court this 11th day of June A. D. 1873. [Signed] J. H. Adams, Sheriff, By Richard Jacka, Deputy." Additional information: The Jacka family were miners who came from Cornwall to work at the mine. Many of them are buried at Oak Hill Memorial Park. |
