TITLE: Almaden Will Hold Gala Fete On This Sunday

The old days when Almaden was one of the busiest mining centers in California will be re-lived this Sunday when residents of the area cerebrate the first "Old Timers Day" since 1941.
Festivities will open at 10:30 a.m. with a parade from the Almaden Store to Hillview Inn and back to the reviewing stands at the store. Prizes will be awarded for the best floats, costumes and for the longest beards, according to Willis Noethig, president of the Almaden Improvement Club, sponsor.
A barbecue will be held at 1 p.m. at the store, followed by dancing, music and games. Mrs. Sunta Calcaterra is chairman of' the afternoon's activities.
