Description TITLE: William Stile, Almaden Native, Called By Death
William R. Stile, 65, a native of Almaden and pioneer resident of San Jose, died at his home, 90 North Bascom avenue, early this morning following an extended illness. Death occurred at 12:55 a. m.
Mr. Stile had been employed by the James Grain company in San Jose for 18 years and had made his home here practically his entire life. He had been ill for the past four years. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Alice Stile of San Jose; a son, Henry L. Stile, Oakland; a step-daughter, Mrs. Alvin Behn, San Jose; three brothers, Tom Stile, San Jose, Dr. Henry Stile, Los Gatos, and Dr. John Stile of Alturas. Private funeral rites will be conducted tomorrow in the Roger Darling garden chapel, with Roger Darling officiating.
